Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu will fielding two or three young candidates in the coming elections to the state assembly.

PPB president Adenan Satem said Gerald Rentap would succeed his father, Alfred Jabu for the Layar seat, while Fazruddin Abdul Rahman would replace Daud Abdul Rahman in Tupong.

The announcement was made by Adenan, who is state Barisan Nasional chairman, at a PBB Youth event on Saturday.

He said he would announce the name of another candidate soon.

Adenan urged the people of Sarawak to give him a big mandate so that he could continue his struggle for the people of Sarawak.

Adenan also reminded voters to come out to vote and not to be overly confident of the BN candidates’ chances to win, especially voters in the Tanjong Datu seat where he would be contesting.

Federal Works Minister Fadillah Yusof, who is PBB Youth leader, also spoke at the gathering. He said the PBB Armada Tour would start in Tanjong Datu until Lawas to ensure a big win for Barisan Nasional in the election.
