This is the second year Petronas has been chosen, beating Ango-Dutch firm Shell and tech giant Google, according to a JobStreet.com survey.
JobStreet Country Manager Chook Yuh Yng said 7,958 people took part in the JobStreet.com’s People’s Choice Award 2016, conducted online last December.
She told Malay Mail Online that “benefits and incentives” were the No. 1 pull factor for 85% of Malaysians wanting to work with companies like Petronas.
About 77% suggested that “salary” was another attractive factor while 71% voted for “learning and development” opportunities at the company and 66% for “reputation”.
Other companies that made the grade included Sime Darby, Maybank, AirAsia, Nestle, Intel, Tenaga Nasional Bhd and Public Bank.
