Kelantan police chief Dr Ab Rahman Ismail said police had detained two suspects, aged 30 and 37, in Kuala Besut, Terengganu, and in Tanah Merah, respectively, yesterday.
“With the arrest of the two suspects, we are confident of solving the murder case,” he told reporters at the State Police Contingent headquarters here today.
Ab Rahman said preliminary investigations into the two suspects revealed they had previous records for possession of firearms and offensive weapons.
They are now in remand to facilitate police investigations, he added.
In the incident on Dec 2, the car repossessor was hacked to death with machetes by six men.
