Dressed in a blue “baju Melayu”, Najib entered the Dewan Rakyat chamber at 3.15pm.
Budget 2018 is the 9th annual financial roadmap presented by Najib since his appointment as prime minister in April 2009.
The MPs will begin debate on the budget, known officially as the Supply Bill 2018, at the policy level on Monday until Nov 7, to be followed by ministerial replies.
Debate at the committee level is scheduled from Nov 14 to 28.
