He was also charged under Section 326 of the Penal Code with voluntarily causing grievous hurt on a foreign student, Basel Giumaa El Maarfi, 20, with a long knife at Hyve Soho Suite Cyberjaya at about 4.45 am last Aug 30.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Judge Harith Shan Mohamed Yasin did not allow Ahmed bail and fixed Dec 7 for mention.
Lawyers Mohd Redzuan Mohamed Yusoff, Nur Siti Fairuz Roslan and Dinesh Muthal represented Ahmed in both courts.
