Nora Quoirin, 15, went missing around 6.30am while staying in a hotel in Seremban, according to BBC.
“When her parents awoke on Sunday morning they found her missing and the window of her hotel room open,” the news portal reported, adding that she has gone missing for 12 hours.
Police are said to be looking for Nora with sniffer dogs.
According to a friend of the family – who works for the BBC in Northern Ireland – Quoirin’s disappearance is “completely out of character”.
The teenager had arrived in Malaysia with her parents on Saturday for a two week holiday.
Nora’s mother Meabh is originally from Belfast, and her father is French. She is understood to have been travelling on an Irish passport. The family were said to have been living in London for a number of years, the UK Press Association reported.
