Mansor, from PKR, began to slur as he was speaking and collapsed.

Subang MP Wong Chen prevented him from falling and other MPs rushed to his aid.

Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Nga Kor Ming ordered emergency assistance to be given to Mansor.

Bagan Serai MP Noor Azmi Ghazali, a medical doctor, said Othman, who had low blood pressure, was being taken to hospital.

Nga adjourned the sitting.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail later told reporters that Mansor was stable for now.

However, she said they would have to follow procedure and send him to the hospital for a full check-up.

“He can talk and recognise people now,” she added. “His blood pressure is also back up. His doctor said it was probably a syncopal attack.”
