However, she declined to reveal further details, saying it is an ongoing case.

“We will definitely inform you once we have completed (the investigation),” she told reporters after a conference on financial crime here today.

FMT revealed in May that six McDonnell Douglas MD530 lightweight combat helicopters were purchased through an agent linked to a senior defence ministry official but had yet to be delivered.

Two of the helicopters were supposed to be delivered in July 2017 and the other four by December 2018.

The company’s dealership rights were terminated by the US manufacturer, MD Helicopters.

It was later revealed that RM112.65 million had been paid in advance.

The defence ministry lodged a report with MACC in June, and minister Mohamad Sabu said last week that the government may go to court if the six helicopters are still undelivered.
