PETALING JAYA:
A former pilot with a regional low-cost carrier was found dead on the ground below his condominium in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, on Monday afternoon.

Serdang district police chief Ismadi Borhan said initial investigations revealed that Sanjiv Daevin Arunasalam, 35, had fallen from his condo on the 12th floor.

Police have ruled out foul play and the case has been classified as sudden death.

Sanjiv, who could play seven musical instruments and was a music teacher, lost his job at the airline two months ago.

Sanjiv’s friend Eddy Zachariah told FMT that Sanjiv had remained “a stable and steady guy” despite being retrenched.

“He had a strong character and was intelligent and brilliant,” said Zachariah, who has known Sanjiv for nearly 20 years.

Sanjiv will be cremated at the DBKL crematorium in Cheras today.
