KUALA LUMPUR:
City Hall (DBKL) sealed off three premises in Kepong here last night for alleged prostitution activities.

It also said the shophouses did not possess any business licence.

The action followed a joint operation with police and the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).

DBKL enforcement department director Osman Ismail said the premises were sealed off for breaching Section 101(1)(V) of Local Government Act and Section 79 of the Street, Drainage and Building Act, which deal with public safety and approval for the setting up of partitions.

He said CCTV cameras and packets of condoms were seized during the raid.

Osman also said DBKL personnel demolished rooms and partitions set up in the premises.

He said records showed the three shophouses had been closed down before.
