PETALING JAYA: Former Selangor assemblyman and Ampang Umno strongman Ismail Kijo has died, reportedly of Covid-19, today.
In a Facebook post, Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar said Ismail, the three-term Lembah Jaya assemblyman from 1995 to 2008, breathed his last at Hospital Sungai Buloh around noon.
Ismail was also his party’s Ampang division chief. Utusan Online reported that his burial will be managed by the health ministry since he was Covid-19 positive.
