State local government and housing minister Masidi Manjun, who is the state’s official Covid-19 spokesman, said other districts in Sabah recorded either single-digit or no infections today, except for Nabawan, Keningau and Tawau.
“After many months, Kota Kinabalu registered a single digit of new Covid-19 cases today, just four.

“Overall, new cases in Sabah today stood at 93, partly due to the 24 cases detected in Nabawan,” he said in a Twitter post.
Sabah was at the forefront of the nation’s Covid-19 battle following the state elections held in September last year, which led to the third wave of the pandemic.
The third wave eventually led to Malaysia overtaking China’s total number of Covid-19 infections while deaths have risen past the 1,000-mark.
