
PLUS Malaysia Bhd, in a post on its official Facebook page, said vehicles using the highway are allowed to enter and exit Alor Setar via the Alor Setar north toll plaza.

Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob had said 28 subdistricts in Kota Setar would be placed under EMCO from May 19 to June 1, due to the increase in Covid-19 cases.
Apart from Kota Setar, several localities in Bandar Darulaman and Kampung Lubuk Kawah in the Kubang Pasu district have also been placed under EMCO until May 31.
Police have also increased the number of monitoring teams from nine to 41 in Kota Setar to ensure compliance with SOPs by its residents.
Kota Setar deputy police chief Mohd Redzuan Salleh said 272 officers and personnel, including from the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), were stationed at roadblocks in Kota Setar.
He said roadblocks would also be set up at the Alor Setar Utara toll plaza in both directions.
Five check-points have also been set up at the district borders, namely at Jalan Kepala Batas-Alor Setar, Persimpangan Teluk Jamat-Pokok Sena, Jalan Kuala Sala, as well as in front of the Alor Janggus police station and Kota Sarang Semut police station, he added.
“We have identified eight rat trails that connect Kota Setar to other districts and these routes will be closed in stages,” he said.
