Anwar said those involved in the Sheraton Move had betrayed the people’s mandate given to PH, while the Melaka four did it to return the mandate to the opposition coalition.
“They decided to support us and return the mandate to PH, which was previously stolen through betrayals.
“I disagree with those who categorise them in the same group as those involved in the Sheraton Move, who betrayed the people’s trust.
“The four merely wanted to return this trust to PH,” he told reporters after an event in Chuah, Negeri Sembilan.
The PKR president also said the PH central leadership was in the final stages of deciding on whether to accept former Melaka chief minister Idris Haron, Noor Effandi Ahmad and Nor Azman Hassan into the fold.
The coalition has shut the door on former DAP man Norhizam Hassan Baktee, the Pengkalan Batu incumbent, who had also retracted his support for the previous Barisan Nasional-led state administration.
Anwar said PH could not simply reject Idris, Effandi and Nor Azman, although some netizens had been pushing for the coalition to do so.
