
It said all the affected borrowers needed to do was submit their applications during the allotted period on PTPTN’s website, www.ptptn.gov.my/PenangguhanBayaranBalikBanjir, or head to any of its nearby branches.
“The deferment of the loan repayment to those affected by the floods will be given for three months. It will start in the same month the application is approved and the subsequent two months. Applications can be made from now until March 31,” it said in a statement.
It said borrowers will be informed of the approval by email within three working days from the date of the application submission.
“Borrowers are reminded to give their latest and accurate contact details to ensure the information on the approval reaches them quickly,” it said.
Borrowers may also call PTPTN through its Careline at 03-2193 3000 (from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) or through the website’s Live Chat.
It was reported last week that PTPTN chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan had instructed the top management to propose a targeted moratorium on loan repayments for borrowers affected by the floods.
He had also instructed them to simplify the process of rescheduling loan repayments if the borrowers made such requests.
