BN and Perikatan Nasional have 28 seats in the 56-seat Johor state assembly while Pakatan Harapan has 27. Umno and DAP have 14 seats each, followed by Bersatu (11), PKR (7), Amanah (6), MIC (2) and PAS (1).
Hasni said the next step ahead of the election is for the speaker of the Johor state assembly, Suhaizan Kaiat, to notify the Election Commission of the dissolution of the state assembly.
“Umno Johor is ready and I am very confident ahead of the election,” he said.
