Family of five, including 3 kids, killed in Kuantan car crash

Kuantan police chief Wan Zahari Wan Busu said the driver of the trailer involved in the accident and his assistant were not injured.

PETALING JAYA:
A family of five, including an infant, were killed in a collision involving their car and a trailer on Jalan Gambang-Muadzam in Pekan, Pahang, at about 3.20pm today.

Kuantan police chief Wan Zahari Wan Busu said the victims were identified as Muhammad Rosli Ibrahim, 33, Nor Afikah Abdullah Sani, 35, and their three children, Nur Safwa Irdina, seven, Nur Sofea Rajda, six, and an infant.

“Based on identification documents recovered, all the victims were from Simpang Empat, Semanggol, Perak,” he said in a statement.

He also said the driver of the trailer and his assistant were not injured.

In a separate statement, Pahang fire and rescue department assistant director (operations) Ismail Abdul Ghani said 13 firefighters rushed to the scene as soon as a report was received.

Ismail said all five victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
