Wan Saiful arrives at KL court to be charged

The Bersatu information chief is expected to be charged alongside a businessman in relation to the Jana Wibawa programme.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan has arrived at the sessions court here to be charged in relation to the Jana Wibawa initiative.

The Tasek Gelugor MP arrived at the Kuala Lumpur court complex at about 8.50am in a black suit and striped shirt.

Businessman Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad, who is expected to be charged alongside Wan Saiful, arrived later in a dark blue suit.

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin was also present to show support for Wan Saiful, arriving at the courthouse just before 9am.

He was joined by party secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin, vice-presidents Ronald Kiandee and Radzi Jidin and youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal.

Wan Saiful was believed to have been arrested after he had gone to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters at 8pm yesterday over the investigation.

The Jana Wibawa programme was a Covid-19 stimulus initiative to help Bumiputera contractors.
