Now Melaka hit by floods as situation improves in other states

The number of flood evacuees in Johor decreased significantly today from 808 to 530 victims.

Floods were also reported in parts of Cameron Highlands today after heavy rain.

Melaka has become the latest state to be hit by floods, although the situation is easing in three other states this evening.

According to Bernama, 16 people from three families in Jasin, Melaka, were evacuated to a shelter this evening.

In Johor, the number of flood evacuees decreased significantly today from 808 victims this morning to 530 at 4pm, with four relief centres still operating.

In Kedah, of the 338 people relocated to three shelters as of this morning, 13 were allowed to return home. In Perak, one person was allowed to go home, with 303 people still at four shelters.

The number of flood evacuees remained the same in Selangor, with 248 people sheltered in three relief centres.
