Jalaluddin, the state Barisan Nasional chairman, insisted that the decision to withdraw support for the menteri besar en bloc remained.
There were rumours that three Umno assemblymen would join the exco to replace four other party colleagues who automatically relinquished their posts after withdrawing support for Aminuddin.
One of the three, Lenggeng assemblyman Asna Amin, said these were just rumours and that he would only act according to Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s orders.
The two other assemblymen, Sufian Maradzi (Seri Menanti) and Zaidy Abdul Kadir (Jeram Padang), also denied the speculation.
All 14 BN-Umno assemblymen retracted support for Aminuddin on Monday, citing a loss of confidence in the menteri besar from PKR.
Jalaluddin, previously a senior exco member, said their decision was linked to the ongoing crisis involving four chieftains seeking to remove the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan from his position.
The other Umno assemblymen who were in the exco were Ismail Lasim (Senaling), Mustapha Nagoor (Palong), and Faizal Ramli (Linggi).
Despite BN withdrawing support, Aminuddin said the Negeri Sembilan ruler wanted him to remain in the top post until the question of his majority support in the state assembly is determined.
