PETALING JAYA:
National broadcaster Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and Unifi TV are Malaysia’s official broadcasters of the 2026 Fifa World Cup.

Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Unifi TV will broadcast all matches live while RTM will screen most of the matches.

The World Cup matches will be aired for free through RTM and Unifi TV’s various platforms, including the streaming platform RTM Klik.

“This offers a variety of choices to football fans in Malaysia,” he said at a press conference.

Fahmi, the communications minister, said the government was working with the private sector to air the world’s biggest football competition to ensure the matches are broadcast at a high quality to all fans across the country.

He added that the government planned to hold live screenings of some matches on a moderate scale, with several sponsors identified and to be announced soon.

The 2026 Fifa World Cup will be held in Canada, Mexico and the US, and is set to feature 48 nations for the first time ever.
