Bersatu sacks 3 elected reps, suspends 7 others

Those sacked were the deputy youth wing chief, Kedah's deputy speaker, and a Kedah assemblyman.

Bersatu has expelled the deputy chief of its youth wing and two Kedah assemblymen and suspended seven others, including five MPs and two state assemblymen from various states. Disciplinary warnings were also issued to three MPs.

Those sacked were deputy youth chief Faiz Rahmad, Kedah deputy speaker Abdul Razak Khamis, who is the assemblyman for Sungai Tiang, and Suka Menanti assemblyman Dzowahir Ab Ghani.

The seven who were suspended for two terms are: Perak assemblymen Ahmad Man (Kuala Sepetang) and Syed Lukman Hakim Syed Zin (Chenderoh); Perak MP Nordin Ahmad Ismail (Lumut); Pahang MP Khalib Abdullah (Rompin); Kelantan MP Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (Tanah Merah); Terengganu MPs Rosol Wahid (Hulu Terengganu) and Khlir Nor (Ketereh).

Warnings were issued to three MPs: Kalam Salan (Sabak Bernam); Roslan Hashim (Kulim Bandar Baharu) and Zakri Hassan (Kangar).

All those affected may file an appeal within the next two weeks.

Disciplinary board chairman Radzi Manan said they were all sacked or suspended for contravening the party constitution and its code of conduct and ethics.
