Klang Selatan police chief Lim Jit Huey said police received a report on the incident, a recording of which had gone viral on social media, at about 4pm.
The video showed people fighting with sticks while others looked on.
In a statement, Lim said the suspects, all local residents aged between 18 and 47, were detained following an investigation into the incident.
He did not state the reason for the brawl.
The suspects have been remanded for four days to assist in the investigation under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with weapons.
Lim urged the public against speculating or sharing unverified information on social media, warning that it could create public anxiety and disrupt the investigation.
He urged those with information to contact the Klang Selatan police headquarters or the nearest police station.
