‘Fat cat’ Whoseen is happy to be dominated by the girls

Although the only male living with four females, Whoseen is happy to take a backseat and let Luna, Mulan, Ash and Sola rule the roost.

You cannot help but love Whoseen the moment you lay eyes on him. A two-year-old British Short Hair, Whoseen is a tad fat but looks absolutely adorable, filled-out and fluffy.

“I adopted him when he was three months old. The previous owner gave him the name Whoseen. It sounds like Hussin and since I loved it, I kept it,” Wesha Ooi says.

According to her, Whoseen loves to eat – morning, noon and night – and asks for nothing more in the world other than to be able to feast to his heart’s content.

“He loves to eat. In fact, he loves eating almost everything. A real fat cat!”

She says that if he gets too hungry, he has no qualms letting her know that he needs a meal… and quick!

“Every morning at 8am, he scratches my bedroom door, asking for food. And when I’m preparing it, he lets me know that I’m not working quite as fast as he’d like.

“He has absolutely no patience whatsoever, meowing incessantly until the food is placed in front of him,” she says.

Whoseen enjoys the enviable position of being the only male in a household of female cats. However, this “fat cat” is quite content to live under queen control.

“Being the only male, one would think Whoseen would be territorial. But he’s hardly a leader. In fact, he’s quite naïve and lets the other four females control him,” Wesha says of Luna, Mulan, Ash and Sola, who usually get their way with Whoseen.

Truth be told, Whoseen is mostly concerned about where his next meal will come from and when his belly’s full, he is happy to prance around the house, wearing a big smile and being friendly towards anyone who drops by for a visit – cat or human.

“Everyone who comes to my house loves my cats because they aren’t fierce, or stuck up, they are super ‘manja’ so the comment I always get is that my cats are different from other cats,” Wesha says.

Of the lot, Whoseen and Luna are the friendliest. “Once Whoseen even got attacked by another cat who visited although all he was doing was just watching her, using his eyes to tell her he wanted to play.”

Apart from playing with other cats, Whoseen also loves playing with empty boxes and bubble wrap despite having beautiful cat towers and other toys to keep him occupied.

He also takes great pride in scratching Wesha’s sofa, stepping back to admire to works of art before getting up to other forms of playful mischief around the house.
