Guan Eng rubbishes claims Penang Chinese support swinging to PN

The DAP chairman expresses greater concern of a lower turnout rate among Chinese voters.

PETALING JAYA:
DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng has dismissed claims that the support of Chinese voters in Penang is starting to swing towards PN.

“I’ll be more concerned if the voter turnout for Chinese voters drops to 20%,” he said, according to China Press.

Previously, Guan Eng’s sister, Penang DAP secretary Hui Ying, said surveys showed that Penang had lost 20% of Chinese support, with these voters set to either back PN, abstain from voting or cast spoiled votes in the state polls.
