But that does not disqualify him from administering the state as it is not an indicator of his political capability or ability to take care of the people of Kedah, said Lokman Noor Adam, a representative of the Department of Special Affairs (Jasa).
He corrected netizens who had been speculating that Ahmad Bashah only had a Sijil Rendah Pelajaran (SRP) qualification.
Taking to Facebook today, Lokman said any negative comments against Ahmad Bashah would hit back at Mukhriz’s camp because “a majority of Kedah state assemblypersons are more confident of a (supposed) SRP leaver compared with Mukhriz, who studied in Japan and America”.
Lokman added further: “Mukhriz was not just lazy in visiting his constituency, he also wasn’t that hardworking as a student.
“Even though he studied at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara, he only obtained a second grade in his SPM.”
The Jasa representative said another former Kedah Menteri Besar, Sanusi Junid, was “someone who had a PhD… (but) had failed to administer the state well”.
Lokman’s final salvo referred to Mukhriz’s “privileged” background.
“Not everyone has the chance to be the child of a Prime Minister like Mukhriz .
“We don’t know what Bashah had to go through in his life, so stop this unending ridicule.”
