Nine of the suspects tested positive for drugs while the other person had prevented a policeman from carrying out his duty by attempting to ram into him.

The two-hour operation, dubbed “Ops Khas Samseng Jalanan” in Jalan Datuk Ismail Hashim, began at 3.30am.

Southwest district police chief Supt Anuar Omar said 94 Mat Rempit, including nine women, aged between 17 and 25, were screened in the operation.

A total of 88 summonses were issued.
