KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today confirmed that former Apco Worldwide Malaysia managing director Paul Geoffrey Stadlen, who is being sought as part of investigations into the 1MDB scandal, left Malaysia before the May 9 polls.
“Yes, he left Malaysia before GE14,” MACC deputy commissioner (operations) Azam Baki told Bernama when contacted.
British paper The Daily Mail previously reported that Stadlen, 39, was believed to have flown to London before heading to an unknown destination.
The report said he was believed to have fled Malaysia but did not reveal when he left.
The Briton’s last address in Malaysia was Unit A-29-8, Blok A, Loft Sentral Condominium, Jalan Stesen Sentral 5, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur.
