Utusan Melayu executive director resigns

The media company says Ibrahim Yahaya stepped down from the post due to personal commitments.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad today announced the resignation of its executive director, Ibrahim Yahaya, which took effect immediately.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, the company said that Ibrahim quit the post as he was tied down with personal commitments.

When contacted by Bernama to confirm the matter, Ibrahim said briefly, “Not from me (the confirmation). I abide by Bursa’s regulation. It is a public-listed company.”

Utusan Melayu on Dec 13 announced that Ibrahim had been made the executive director. He was previously an independent director.
