
This includes two DAP state assemblyman Saminathan Ganesan and Gunasekaran Palanisamy, who will both be charged alongside each other at the Ayer Keroh court in Melaka at 8.30am tomorrow.
“This is what we have been informed,” said lawyer Ramkarpal Singh who is part of the legal team representing four of those arrested.
The MP for Klang, Charles Santiago, confirmed that all 12 would be charged.
Ten of them will be charged tomorrow and two others on Thursday (Oct 31) at the Sessions Courts in Ayer Keroh and Alor Gajah, Melaka; Kuala Kangsar, Perak; Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur; Sepang and Selayang, Selangor; Butterworth, Penang; and Segamat, Johor.
The 12 people, among them a Melaka local councillor, were arrested and detained under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act earlier this month.
Their detention came under criticism from Pakatan Harapan politicians who urged that they be released from detention or be charged and released on bail if there was a case against them
