Ismail also said 381 people were arrested by police yesterday for breaching the ongoing recovery MCO, with 372 of them fined and nine remanded.
The majority of them were punished for failing to record customers’ personal details when entering shops (66), not wearing a mask in crowded public areas (151), not practising physical distancing (37) and organising private parties (26).
The authorities also detained 46 undocumented migrants yesterday as part of the ongoing Ops Benteng. They also confiscated four vehicles.
Of the 385 people who returned to Malaysia yesterday from various countries, 384 are undergoing quarantine and one is being treated for Covid-19.
