All districts in Selangor except Sabak Bernam will be affected.
Meanwhile, several localities in Kuala Lumpur will also be placed under EMCO.
The affected areas in Selangor are:
- Petaling: Petaling, Damansara, Sg Buloh, Bukit Raja
- Hulu Langat: Hulu Langat, Ampang, Cheras, Kajang, Semenyih, Beranang
- Sepang: Dengkil, Labu, Sepang
- Gombak: Batu, Rawang, Setapak, Hulu Kelang, Kuang
- Kuala Langat: Tanjung 12 (1), Tanjung 12 (2), Teluk Panglima Garang, Morib, Bandar, Jugra, Batu
- Klang: Kapar, Klang
- Kuala Selangor: Ijok, Bestari Jaya, Jeram
- Hulu Selangor: Serendah, Rasa, Ulu Yam, Batang Kali
The affected areas in KL are:
- Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Sri Semarak
- PPR Batu Muda
- Flat Seksyen 2 Wangsa Maju
- Flat Seksyen 1 Wangsa Maju
- Kampung Padang Balang
- Taman Koperasi Polis (Fasa 1 & 2)
- Flat Sri Sabah
- Kampung Puah
- PPR Kampung Baru Air Panas
- Flat Desa Pandan (Termasuk Baiduri & Delima)
- Kampung Batu Muda
- PPR Kerinchi
- Bandar Baru Sentul
- Taman Ikan Emas
In a statement, Ismail said all routes in EMCO areas will be closed and controlled by the police.
He added that residents in the EMCO areas are not allowed to leave their homes except for one household representative for the purpose of purchasing basic necessities within a radius of 10km. However, travel for vaccination is allowed.
Airports and ports are allowed to operate as usual. Public transportation such as buses and trains are allowed to operate but at 50% capacity. For taxi and e-hailing vehicles, only one passenger is allowed at any one time.
Essential services are allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm. Additionally, only factories that produce food items and basic daily necessities such as rice, white bread (loaf), sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour, fresh milk, infant formula, medicine and face masks will be allowed to operate.
Employees in the essential services must obtain a permission letter or employee pass from their employer in order to travel for work purposes. All employees in non-essential services must work from home.
Eateries such as restaurants, kiosks, stalls, food trucks and food courts are allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm via drive-through and delivery.
Hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories, pharmacies, pet shops and veterinary clinics are allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm.
Convenience and grocery stores are allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm.
Wholesale markets are allowed to operate from 12am to 6am.
A curfew is also set at 8pm. Petrol stations are allowed to operate between 6am and 8pm, except those on highways.
Sports, social, recreational and cultural activities are not allowed.
Meanwhile, other areas going under EMCOs from July 3 until July 16 are:
- Kampung Mangga, Nasip Kita and Kampung Kijang, Balung in Tawau, Sabah
- Taman Jaya Diri, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
- Kampung Lingkodon, Kota Belud, Sabah
- Kampung Pintas Kubu, Beaufort, Sabah
- Kampung Muhibbah, Putatan, Sabah
- Kampung Goshen, Kota Marudu, Sabah
The EMCOs at Rumah Panjang Sungai Rassau, Batang Igan, Mukah, Sarawak and workers’ hostel at Wah Cens Plastic Industries & Metal Sdn Bhd, Segamat, Johor will be extended until July 16.
The EMCO at Taman Sri Purnama, Mukim Padang Pak Amat, Pasir Puteh, Kelantan will end on July 2, one day earlier than scheduled.
Ismail said police arrested 549 people yesterday for flouting SOPs, with 535 compounded and 14 remanded.
The authorities also detained 10 undocumented migrants and seized six land vehicles as part of the ongoing Op Benteng.
