PETALING JAYA:
The entire Klang Valley and Melaka will enter into recovery Phase 4 from Monday, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced.

According to a Bernama report, Ismail also said limits on the number of passengers e-hailing vehicles can carry will be lifted tomorrow.

This applies to all e-hailing vehicles nationwide.

In a statement after a Covid-19 special committee meeting, Ismail said that Kelantan, Perak, Penang, Sabah and Kedah will also move into recovery Phase 3 on Monday.

This means that from Monday onwards, there will be no more states in recovery Phase 2.

“These changes in phases are in line with the national recovery plan guidelines and the percentage of fully-vaccinated adults.”

Ismail also said rest and recreation (R&R) areas on all highways nationwide will be allowed to operate for 24 hours starting tomorrow.

He added that cyber cafes in states under Phase Three can operate at 80% capacity while those in Phase Four at 100% from Sunday.

“Overseas tourism for the purpose of Umrah will be allowed. This is in line with our decision to remove the need for a MyTravelPass to go overseas. This will come into effect on Oct 18,” he said.

Ismail said face-to-face meetings, incentives, conference, and exhibition (MICE) activities are allowed for Phase Three states for those who are fully vaccinated adding that this will also take effect on Oct 18.

However, he noted that there are four conditions that need to be met. They are a pre-event Covid-19 screening test, physical distancing, wearing of face masks and 50% capacity of the venue.
