Ayob Khan returns to Bukit Aman

The Johor police chief has been appointed the narcotics criminal investigation department director.

PETALING JAYA:
Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay is to return to Bukit Aman as its narcotics criminal investigation department (CID) director.

Ayob Khan, who is currently the Johor police chief, was previously the Special Branch counter-terrorism principal assistant director.

Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani announced the reshuffle of four senior police officers, including Ayob Khan, in a letter to department directors and police chiefs.

Kedah police chief Kamarul Zaman Mamat will replace Ayob Khan.

Bukit Aman integrity and standards compliance department deputy director Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad will become the new Kedah police chief.

The letter also announced Bukit Aman narcotics CID director Razarudin Husain’s appointment as deputy inspector-general of police, effective Dec 26.

All four officers will report for duty before Jan 25.
