PETALING JAYA: A lorry driver is wanted by police for allegedly hitting his five-year-old stepson, as shown in a viral video clip.
The man, aged 30, is seen to be slapping the child and twisting his hands while scolding him.
Shah Alam district police chief Ramsay Anak Embol was quoted as saying the boy’s 25-year-old mother from Taman Sri Muda, had lodged a police report before the video clip went viral.
“In the video, the suspect was seen scolding the boy, slapping and twisting both his hands. The mother protected him from being hit by hugging the child,” Ramsay said in a statement today, according to a Kosmo report.
Ramsay said the couple only married a month ago.
