KUALA LUMPUR:
The police reporting system is being upgraded, and any problems encountered by the public was due to maintenance work since Saturday, Bukit Aman said today.

Bukit Aman logistics and technology department deputy director Shukri Abdullah said police reports were not affected and all stations had been briefed about taking reports manually in case of problems with the computerised system.

There have been messages on social media claiming that users were having technical difficulties accessing the system, which is used to receive police reports across the country.

He said the problems were due to maintenance work on the IPRS that has been conducted in phases since last Saturday, but police reports were not affected.

Shukri said any difficulty in accessing the reporting system was temporary and the entire maintenance process was expected to be completed shortly.
