PETALING JAYA: Any declaration of assets is usually done following a Cabinet appointment, says Barisan Nasional’s Sungai Buloh candidate, Khairy Jamaluddin.
Khairy, who is also the health minister, said he had previously declared his assets after being appointed the science, technology and innovation minister.
“I had declared my assets to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and this was published on its website,” Bernama quoted him as saying after launching the Covid-19 new wave awareness programme in Sungai Buloh today.
Yesterday, PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli declared RM18.85 million in net assets ahead of the 15th general election (GE15).
He said PKR candidates for the general election would be required to declare their assets.
