In a Facebook post, Pendang MP Awang Solahudin Hashim said the party had tried its best to woo others to support the Muhyiddin Yassin-led PN to form the government.
“We accept all that has been determined by God. God willing, there is a silver lining in this,” he said.
Padang Terap MP Nurul Amin Hamid said he accepted how things have turned out, despite PN and PAS’ efforts to form the federal government. “The struggle for Islam will not stop. Move on,” he said.
PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man simply said, “Daulat Tuanku (long live the King)”.
On the other hand, former deputy religious affairs minister Ahmad Marzuk Shaary urged PAS supporters to keep praying for a “miracle”.
He said PAS will have to go through uncertain times in the days to come and that Malaysians will hear of “unexpected events”.
“God will be with us. Today is not the end, we still have tomorrow,” said the Pengkalan Chepa MP.
