Married couple die in fall from Genting Highlands hotel

PETALING JAYA:
A married couple is believed to have died after falling from a hotel building in Genting Highlands.

Bentong district police chief Zaiham Mohd Kahar said they received a report regarding the incident at about 9.45pm on Tuesday, Berita Harian reported.

He said a preliminary investigation revealed that the couple from Taiping, Perak, both 37, had checked into the hotel on May 11.

“CCTV footage showed that no one apart from the couple had been seen entering or leaving the room from the date of their check-in until the date of the incident.

“The investigation also found no criminal elements in the case,” Zaiham was quoted as saying.
