
PETALING JAYA: A 57-year-old man suspected of threatening Kuala Lumpur City Hall enforcement officers in a WhatsApp message has been arrested by the police.
In a statement, Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa said the suspect was nabbed after a report was lodged by a member of the public who took a screenshot of the WhatsApp message.
The complainant claimed the message was aimed at threatening and intimidating the enforcement officers.
Rusdi said the case is being investigated under the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for sending threatening messages.
