Driver, believed drunk, nabbed for going against traffic on Sprint highway

Police say the suspect had also commandeered an e-hailing driver's car following a misunderstanding.

Police arrested a man believed to be drunk for driving against traffic along the Sprint highway early yesterday morning.

A preliminary investigation also revealed that the suspect had commandeered a car belonging to an e-hailing driver following a misunderstanding.

In a statement, Petaling Jaya police chief Shamsudin Mamat said the suspect was arrested at 2.10am and has been remanded to facilitate the investigation.

He said the man is being investigated for reckless driving, driving under the influence, and voluntarily causing hurt and mischief.
