PETALING JAYA:
A 33-year-old foreigner has been charged in court for causing a ruckus at KLIA Terminal 2 on April 5 after missing his connecting flight to Hatyai, Thailand.

KLIA police chief M Ravi said the suspect is believed to have missed his flight following a misunderstanding with his wife on who should look after their child.

Ravi said the man then started to exhibit aggressive behaviour at the airport’s transfer counter, smashing a window and a signboard as well as throwing a water bottle at the counter.

He added that the suspect injured a security officer in the process, Sinar Harian reported.

The suspect was arrested around 10.30am the same day before being hauled to the Sepang courts on April 7 to be charged.

Ravi said the man pleaded guilty to charges of voluntarily causing hurt and insulting behaviour. He did not disclose if the man had already been sentenced.
