14 cops nabbed in 3am drugs raid at supermarket car park

Raiding party find two bottles of ketum water near one of six mobile patrol vehicles at the scene.

KUALA LUMPUR: Fourteen police personnel were detained in a drugs raid “Op Blue Devil at a supermarket car park in Shah Alam, Selangor, yesterday.

They were all detained by personnel from the federal police Integrity and Standard Compliance Department and the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of Selangor police at about 3am.

Director of the Bukit Aman JSJN, Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd when contacted confirmed the detention of all the personnel.

He said that when the raid was carried out, there were six mobile patrol vehicles at the location. Further inspection led to the discovery of two bottles which were suspected to contain ketum juice.

“The two bottles of the juice were discovered near one of the police patrol vehicles,” he said.

Mohd Khalil said all the suspects were detained and taken to the Selangor contigent headquarters for further investigation and disciplinary action would be taken against the personnel detained.
