This follows the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Permatang Pauh on Monday.
Federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director Razarudin Husain said the arrest of the 31-year-old dealer led police to a residential area in Nibong Tebal yesterday, where a house was discovered to be storing the drugs.
Police seized 112kg of syabu and 26.9kg of heroin base, all believed to be from Thailand, from the house. Some drugs were also found in the suspect’s car.
Razarudin said the drugs were placed in “refined Chinese tea” packs believed to be for the Penang market, and probably belonged to a larger syndicate.
He said the suspected dealer, who did not have a criminal record and tested negative for drug use, had been remanded until Monday.
Razarudin said police also seized RM115,000 in cash, gold, jewellery and several cars.
