Rodzi Md Saad is new security DG

The 57-year-old, who has been in the civil service for 31 years, now heads the National Security Council.

PETALING JAYA:
Rodzi Md Saad has been appointed the new national security director-general effective today.

In a statement, chief secretary to the government Mohd Zuki Ali said he was confident Rodzi was capable of leading the National Security Council (MKN) given his expertise and experience.

He was confident that Rodzi could continue the legacy of managing the country’s security, especially in the battle against Covid-19.

Rodzi, 57, has served in the public service for 31 years and has vast experience in various fields, including safety and disaster management.

He previously served as MKN deputy director-general under Mohd Rabin Basir.
