Teen girl remanded after brother killed in knifing incident

Police say the siblings are believed to have quarrelled over seats in a car when returning home after school.

JOHOR BAHRU:
An 18-year-old girl has been remanded for six days from today for allegedly throwing a knife and killing her younger brother yesterday.

The incident is believed to have happened when the siblings were fighting over seats in a car when returning home from school in Ulu Pulai, Iskandar Putri police chief Rahmat Ariffin said.

The suspect was arrested after police received a report at 2.15pm.

The remand order was issued by magistrate Nurmadiana Mat to facilitate the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
